Hailing all the way from Canberra, Australia, Hands Like Houses seems to have found a niche in an
ever-changing genre. With catchy riffs, soaring vocals, and complete absence of screaming, these kids
from down under have developed a sound seldom heard in a scene overwhelmed with similarity. In 2011,
the band self funded their second trip to the states to complete work on their debut full-length record,
Ground Dweller, which was recorded at Chango Studios with Producer Cameron Mizell (Sleeping With
Sirens, Woe is Me, I See Stars). Between trips, the band embodied the DIY mentality, putting together a
non-stop tour schedule of their homeland Australia alongside other popular acts such as Dream on
Dreamer and The Bride, as well as found time to tour the UK for three weeks alongside Italy’s own
Hopes Die Last. The band will release their debut album, Ground Dweller, on March 13th with plans for
touring the United States in 2012 to support the release.
