This is Capital from Long Island, NY's third album, following up their previous album "Homefront" which was released by Revelation Records in 2007 and Underground Communique in 2008. "Givers/Takers" continues the bands tradition of stylistically varied albums, taking cues from their varied influences ranging from the Cro-Mags to Drive Like Jehu to 108 to Propagandhi to their most common comparison: Avail. Singer Tommy Corrigan's vocals command unique attention, which has been his calling card since his days fronting the somewhat legendary Silent Majority in the mid-late 90's. Shifting back and forth from raspy emotive singing to snarly screams to his usual melodic shout. The album was self recorded by the band and mixed by Chris Hannah from Propagandhi.
