Jeremy Porter & The Tucos: Night On The Town b/w Ain´t My House Anymore Available on 7" semi-opaque blue vinyl (with a free download code + bonus track)
Mag Wheel is proud to release the debut 7” by Detroit based Jeremy Porter and the Tucos.
The single features 2 originals by the band and a download card that features a 3rd song, “Galveston” by Jimmy Webb.
Porter brings his mix of power pop and Americana/Alt Country to this single. He got hooked on a steady diet of Husker Du, Replacements, Soul Asylum, Nils, as a teen, and later was influenced by Uncle Tupelo, Slobberbone, Steve Earle, Lucero and classic country music.
Jeremy Porter & The Tucos – Night On The Town (MagWheel) Available as a 7” single or a 3-track download, Jeremy Porter & The Tucos play hard driving Americana, the sort of thing The Replacements, Slobberbone and Uncle Tupelo used to do so well. There’s always a place for this sort of thing, whether on stage at a local bar, or blasting out of an old jukebox. The title track’s probably the pick of the bunch, but “Ain’t My House Anymore” runs it close, and their version of Jimmy Webb’s “Galveston” is rootsy and rough ‘round the edges – pretty good!
