Recess 141

Released on June 29, 2010

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The Riverdales follow up last year's "Invasion USA" with "Tarantula". Thirty minutes of their heaviest, yet catchiest, songs to date. Initially meant to be part of "Invasion USA," these tunes stood out on their own enough to be their own beast. In these parts, Riverdales-Storm The Streets, is considered a cultish, godlike slab. Tarantula carries on with the great Foster/Schafer songwriting team. As well as being complimented with the Justin Perkins production. "12 to the Moon" can be considered a classic weeks before release date. And if you wanna talk up the Ramones reference, well then we can clock in with this era's "Baby Sitter/Bonzo/Something to Believe In" via "Soultaker".

I like this record. Maybe not as strong as their last one due to some fancy lead guitar, and a couple slower ones, but a good recording none the less. Catchy power bubblegum.

Wow...sooo good. Check out the songs: "Diabolik", "Soultaker","Master Ninja" & "I Don't Want to Live Forever".... ahhh crap, the whole album is good. This is way better than the last album "Invasion USA". Good sounding guitars on here (heavier than usual). I saw Screeching Weasel play recently and although I had a good time at the show.... I couldn't help think.... I wish Vapid and Weasel were doing a Riverdales set instead. Don't pass this up, get it now!

I've been listening to the Riverdales since the very first album, and these guys seem impossible to disappoint me. i'd say this is as equally as good as Invasion USA. personally, i loved Diabolik and Girls Town the most, but the entire record is everything you'd expect from a great band like the Riverdales.
