i can enjoy all dismember releases to a degree, they come from the incestuous sweden family tree of carnage/carbonized/nihilist that went on to form the core of the best swedish death metal bands. after this album they kind of lost my interest for a while, this is the last one where i can listen and get hooked by memorable songs and it's not a total wash with the production yet, but almost. in 2008 when i enjoyed that year's record i had to go back and listen to the few albums i missed or just jammed once and moved on, not bad. the real kick ass part about this lp is A. it contains the misanthropic ep tracks as a bonus B. one of those tracks in an autopsy cover (from the small window autopsy was good in) and C. the vinyl mastering or something makes this sound clearer and better than i've ever heard it before. 13 fucking years later the album separates things enough to pull out of the death metal petal to 11 sunlight studios blues and kick it like rock death! back on black almost never does wrong.
