Indeed a very 80's early 90's sound to it, although I also sensed some similarities with Alkaline Trio's heartfelt tunes. Very nice written and performed songs, but I was at times a bit disappointed with the not so steady vocals (although maybe also reminiscent to that older days). And probably I'm too spoiled with the perfect recordings of these days, but the recordingsound of this album could have been a bit clearer if you ask me. Still... very good stuff on here, especially songs 2, 5 and 10.

This needs to become Dan Schafer's full time band. I hope this is not another one of his side project bands. This band should be his focus, because in my opinion it is the best stuff from Dan I have heard since his output on "Phase 3 International" by the Riverdales. My favorite song on here is "Without Boundaries". Great CD!
