IV (old)

Hellcat 505

Released on June 23, 2009

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The Aggrolites offer their brand of funky old-school ska and reggae, lovingly representing the classic sounds of 70s Jamaica to a generation that has never heard of Studio One. This is their most accomplished set yet, with more soulful settings to feature singer Jesse Wagner's Motown-inflected voice.

Solid release. Nothing that strays too far from what the aggrolites have been doing but it still works. The vinyl release doesn't have the entire album, leaving out some of the best tracks like "its Gonna be OK" and "Tonight". But, the vinyl came with a download code to get the entire album. Hopefully they will vinyl releases for their past 2 records soon.
