Insect Warfare

Insect Warfare

625 Productions 220

Released on April 14, 2009

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Final one sided LP from Insect Warfare. Blistering, primal noise/grind done by the now defunct Gulf-Coast grind-unit. Raw and punishing, how grindcore is supposed to be. Glossy metal magazines will be confused, posers decimated, and the last-will and testament of this band will live on in infamy.

Everyone whose with it knows what this shit is, 9 minutes of utter distortion. Some liked it some hated it. I loved it

This album is a quite a departure from their previous works. Here you get about 9 minutes worth of music that resembles Insect Warfare simply blasting about with voice effects/noise instead of guitars. There's barely a second to breath and barely any time to understand really what's going on. At times the music is painful to listen to (high pitched feedback and distortion), and it really feels like Insect Warfare is just trying to annoy people.

The lp plays at 45rpm and comes in a super minimal package. It's a good listen, and I'm happy I bought it, but be weary this is noise/grind, not like their previous stuff.

I'm surprised this thing is in the top ten sellers list! Fans of their prior material may or may not have shit their pants when they threw this thing on their record player for the first spin. It's noise grind, but not some artsy-fartsy stuff you may have heard before. Imagine their old songs, but replace the guitars with power-electronics. The speed and insanity of it all (and the 1-2-3 drum clicks before every song) remind me of straight up old A.C. stuff, which exactly the way they described the material on their blog thing before they disbanded. It physically hurts to listen to this record.
