Decadence

(Glassjaw)

WEA

Released on August 17, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The highly anticipated collaboration of Darryl Palumbo (hardcore's Glassjaw )and legendary beatmaker/ producer Dan "The Automator" Nakamura (Handsome Boy Modeling School, Gorillaz, Dr. Octagon), Head Automatica sounds like nothing you would imagine (i.e., NOT rap metal)on the duo's debut album Decadence. "We're an electronic cock-rock band," says Palumbo, setting aside the anger and angst of Glassjaw. "I just want to f***ing party." With Head Automatica, the party is full on.

This is a great album for what it is. I cannot remember what promted me to order this, but evidentally that impetus did not push me to listen to it more than 5 times. Regardless, it's good. Darryl Palumbo is one of those amazing musicians who turns everything he touches to masterful art.

Well, it was not really what I was looking for, but and happy to be surprise.

I had once listen to Beating Heart Baby and I like it very much, except that there 3 tracks on the cd that is still this style of music, the rest are more disco/techno/pop/punk. It remind me of C.S.S. a Bresilian band.

damn, there are some pretty sic songs on here (beating heart baby, the razor, dance party plus, brooklyn is burning) but i give it a 3 because most of the songs are pretty average, especially considering it's daryl and larry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't get me wrong, i love this album and i love hip hop, but i don't think glassjaw(the greatest band in the world) should be set aside for this
