Fourteen years on, Hot Water Music is back with a series of shows and a new collection album! Raging and screaming or rocking and singing, beards or no beards, the evolution of the band and their music is captured here in its full vibrance and force.
"Till the Wheels Fall Off" is a collection of rare songs, B-sides, comp tracks, outtakes, covers, and split releases. Included are songs from the out-of-print "Moonpies for Misfits" EP, their splits with Alkaline Trio and Leatherface and five songs recorded over the span of their three albums on Epitaph. The selection of bands they cover is pretty insane too: Springsteen, Leatherface, Alkaline Trio, Government Issue, Midnight Oil, Circle Jerks, The Clash, and Turbonegro.
Includes new art and photos, plus a few pieces from out of-print records. The cover art is once again rendered by Scott Sinclair, who painted their previous record covers.
The double LP will be on multiple kinds of colored vinyl!!

I had heard about half the stuff on this cd beforehand, but there was a lot that i hadn't heard yet. The cd itself is definitely worth getting. "Seein' Diamonds" is one of my favorite HWM songs of all time. There are a few songs missing from this collection, probably from lack of space on the disc. But overall this is a great cd. A fantastic final release for those hardcore HWM fans. And the artwork is again by Scott Sinclair. That in itself is worth getting the cd. Good stuff.

First off a disclaimer: In my opinion Hot Water Music is one of the best bands EVER! Till The Wheels Fall Off is kind of a disjointed affair but that is the nature of odds and ends albums. However, the radness of Hot Water Music's songwriting comes through lound and clear. I really like the demos from Caution and The New What Next. This is one of my favorite bands, but if you don't already listen to them this isn't the best place to start (probably Caution or Fuel for the Hate Game). But if you like HWM you owe it to yourself to get this.

I love Hot Water Music, so of course, I loved this cd. It is annoying that some songs aren't included where as others are from certain splits and such. Overall though, it's awesome to hear these songs.

I was on the fence on getting this, but now I can say this is a must have for Hot Water Music fans. Listening to this will remind you of when you use to go to one of your vinyl collector friends houses to hear rare HWM tracks. I also love the CD booklet as well. Good stuff.

Hot Water Music can do no wrong with me. I love all of their albums from "finding the rhythms" up to "the new what next" and this album is just as good as any of them. There are numerous cover songs on here from many different artists (alkaline trio, circle jerks, bruce springsteen, the clash, turbonegro, etc), all of which are done really well. My only complaint is that they left off two of the songs from their split with Leatherface and one song off of "Moonpies for Misfits". It's just odd to see only parts of those albums represented on this. The artwork is beautiful, as always, and the packaging is outstanding. Now although this album may have moments that feel like the latter part of thier career (which some people can't stand) there is a good selection from their earlier catalog to make even the pickiest of fans happy. I hope this review was helpful.
