Young Offenders

Young Offenders

Parts Unknown 30

Released on September 4, 2007

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Straight out of the boozer and into the studio, these balding old timers from San Francisco bring the sounds of a northern council estate onto their second vinyl release. Four tracks of WIPERS, REALLY RED inspired post-punk darkness mixed with some C86 WEDDING PRESENT jangle and a dash of late 70’s Irish powerpop.

good record, more songs than on the deranged ep, i seriously crapped myself when i heard their side of the giant haystacks split and of the 3 ep's i've gotten by them since, they never acheive the greatness of those split lp songs. still this is good, power poppy maybe, late 70's early 80's uk almost punk style. prolly a great live band.

This is music that makes you feel good. It has the feel of all those late 70's Aussie punk bands with its jangly, lightweight guitar lines and snotty vocals. I can see myself listening to this for a long time.
