DKM come out swinging with their sixth studio album; a collection of tales about family, loyalty, and remembering where you came from. It contains all the best elements
of the band's sound: a complex distillation of classic punk rock, Celtic folk, and American rock 'n' roll. It puts the band's diversity, intensity, and sincerity on full display.
Consolidating strong sales history with digital single sales of 250,000 for "I'm Shipping Up To Boston", which was the title track in Martin Scorcese's Academy Award
winning film, "The Departed". For fans of The Pogues, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen.

Deilighted to see DM return to their more punkish roots; "Meanest of Times" is probably DM at their most hard-hitting to date. Little variation though, some songs are hard to tell apart. And this comes from someone with a preference to black metal/drone, but still: "Flannigan's Ball", "Shattered", - well, the first half of the album, to be honest - are DM at their peak.

I picked this album up on CD when it first came out and really liked it. So, when I saw that there was a vinyl copy available (a double LP at that), I said to myself, "hey, let's pick this up for the collection". And what do you know? The vinyl version (black vinyl, by the way) comes with a copy of the CD (although, not the CD packaging). The vinyl version also has 2 extra tracks (one is a Who cover), although those are not on CD that comes with. So, if you are one of those people who plan on buying both the CD and the vinyl editions, do yourself a favor and save a few bucks and just pick up the vinyl edition.
