Necrophagist

Epitaph

Relapse 6628

Released on August 3, 2004

$14.75
Buy

Uniting head-spinning musicianship, incredibly elaborate arrangements and an acute sense of dynamics within composition, NECROPHAGIST have reset the bar for complexity and technique in modern-day death metal. NECROPHAGIST's powerful riffs, mind-blowing sweeps and arpeggios, crisp and crushing percussion and intricately designed songs are at once unequalled and uncompromising. Epitaph is musically infallible, unveiling an invincible technicality so sharp and precise, it threatens to bore a hole directly through the heart of the existing progressive death metal playbook. A must for fans of Cryptopsy, Nile, The Red Chord, and Death.

This cd is excellent! Awesome riffs played at incredibly high speeds, this cd is pretty intense. They also throw on a sweet live show, so if you ever get a change, check them out!

This band is completely and utterly mind blowing. I have not heard talent on this level from any other band in a long time. The most incredible thing about this band is that its only a 4 piece and that the lead singer plays guitar as well. If you are a fan of dime drop precision time changes and evil death metal growls or if you just appreciate music in general you should check this band out. They go from heavy as all get out to incredibly melodic, its just nuts. They make Between the Buried and Me look like Blink 182. BUY THIS RECORD.
