When I need some 'chill' music, I know that the Weakerthans are the band I can count on. John K. Samson will always hold a special place in my heart from his days in Propagandhi. This new offering is good. I can never think of stand out tracks on Weakerthan's albums because they are all so soothing and flow well.

It was a long wait, but it was worth it. The Weakerthans have created another marvelous album. Every song on here is amazing and there are no tracks that would need to be skipped while listening to it. The lyrics (like usual) are really good. John Samson is one of the best writers in this genre and possibly others. All of these songs are based on fictional characters. Kind of like Tom Waits' albums in the 80's but not as obscure as them. This cd has the feel of "Reconstruction site" but has a unique sound. I love the continuation of the Virtute the Cat story. That song is one of the many gems on this cd. I would recommend this to anyone who likes any type of music. It is simply fantastic. They cant go wrong.

ok, it's the weakerthans. i don't think anyone needs to say anymore. but in case you need some help, this isn't punk, though the band writes with the intelligence and intensity of a punk band, yet slow down the tempo to allow for maximum enjoyment. i'd recommend this to one and to all.

Very good cd here like usual with this band. Sounds sorta like reconstruction only more mellow than that. I recommend to buy this but buy their early releases before this if you haven't.

Yeah Weakerthans. These guys are so cool, and so is this cd. Very mello and hilarious. Realize that you have to be in the mood for it, and I can only takeso much of it (quite a bit actually) before I need something with a little more kick. It's kind of hilarious that John Sampson used to be Propaghandi. They are waaay different. Anyways, buy this cd, it's worth it.
