Another stellar issue of everybody’s favorite punk-rock rag. SENSES FAIL don this cover, with lead singer Buddy Nielsen talking about new album, lyrics, touring, and not living by mottos. This issue also finds A STATIC LULLABY talking about the break up, the reformation, and the new approach; NORMA JEAN talking about Marilyn Monroe, The Chipmunks singing THE BEATLES, and PANTERA; NEW FOUND GLORY talking about their recent break, getting married, and working with Tom Petty’s keyboardist; an in depth look at the Blasting Room, with THE DESCENDENTS / ALL founder, Bill Stevenson; AGAINST ME! talk about the live album and signing with Sire Records; TAKING BACK SUNDAY talk about Fight Club, Japan, and rocking til’ they die!; a great piece on where your favorite bands hang out when surfing the web, with check-ins from A STATIC LULLABY, RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS, THE DRAFT, OVER IT, TIME AGAIN, AVAIL, STRUNG OUT, AGAINST ME!, and many more; Page Hamilton sits down and talks about all things HELMET; and UNDERAOTH talks about dropping off Warped Tour, re-aligning, and setting back out. There are also great pieces and spreads on SUGARCULT, CONVERGE, STRIKE ANYWHERE, THE BRONX, CURSIVE, The Sounds Of the Underground Tour, Bumbershoot with AFI, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS, YELLOWCARD, ANTI-FLAG, and more; INC, ROCK KILLS KID, FEAR BEFORE THE MARCH OF FLAMES, PINK SPIDERS, THE WARRIORS, ZEBRAHEAD, Brendan Kelly of the LAWRENCE ARMS talks about the FALCON, I Scream Records, MUCH THE SAME, plus hundreds of reviews, all the punk-news that’s fit to print, and all of AMP’s dashing columnist at their finest…   And, of course, the sAMPler- This issue with new and unreleased tracks from SENSES FAIL, STRIKE ANYWHERE, A STATIC LULLABY, SAMIAM, AGAINST ME!, IT DIES TODAY, ZEBRAHEAD, AMON AMARTH, BAD ASTRONAUT, THE FALCON, THE STREET DOGS, DEAD TO ME, and many more. Another great issue from AMP. I got a more in depth look at bands I like that include: The Human Abstract, Rory, Converge, The Warriors, Rock Kills Kid, A Static Lullaby, Zebrahead, Norma Jean, The Bronx, Much The Same, Fear Before The March Of Flames & Bullet Treatment. I also discovered a band called Rasmus, who I later heard on the sample cd & liked.

My 3 favorite tracks from the cd were Senses Fail "Calling All Cars", A Static Lullaby "Hang Em High" & I Killed The Prom Queen "Say Goodbye".

This is Saul.

The part that I actually think I can review easily: The CD that came with this magazine. There is a lot of music I don't care about on the CD, as usual, but I have to say that its pretty good compared to the other 2 AMP CDs I've got. In my opinion, a compilation with The Falcon, Bad Astronaut and Dead to Me on it is good.

The Falcon track is off Unicornography, The Unicorn Odeyssey The Bad Astronaut track is off 12 Small Steps and is also on Protect, Minus The Dead to Me track is on Cuban Ballerina, Special Professional

Now, to explain why I didn't review what's inside the magazine (well, actually, the CD is inside, but I mean the typing on the pages of the magazine):

I haven't really read any of the magazine yet, and I'm not positive how to review a magazine. Do I point out spelling errors and bad grammar? If you've ever bought an AMP magazine, its going to be just as good quality as the one you bought, but this one will have different articles inside (unless, of course, you bought this exact issue already.) From the description you can read what will be inside.
