The Too Late Show

Red Scare 110

Released on October 24, 2006

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

They're back and with the original lineup that earned them the title of "Fat Mike's Favorite Band" all those years ago! Straight outta The Blasting Room, THE LILLINGTONS have returned with an album chock full catchy hits. It's classic LILLINGTONS: the Red Menace, alien invasions, double agent spies, and every other kinda B-movie hijinx you can think of. Their vivid imaginations are matched only by their ability to write dynamic and catchy punk rock ditties. THE LILLINGTONS are back, and it's never too late to see what the legend is made of!

Another solid record from the only cool thing I know of from Wyoming. Not as good as Death by T.V., but what is?

these guys broke up, probably because not enough people cared. then their cult status grew mighty and they're back together, even though members have always stayed active in the punk community. for some reason i think i love them more now. 11 songs on this lp, beautiful pirates press thick colored vinyl. total mindless pop punk about zombies, the cold war, spy stuff, and the 50's usa. easily in my top 10 of 2006. recommended.

Great release! Thank goodness for a place like Interpunk that will get the vinyl releases too! Good album...you can tell there is some ring rust. However there are some awesome jams like "Mars vs. Hollywood"/"Target Earth"/"Zombie Attack". I'm glad The Lillingtons are back to revive the Sci Fi-Pop-Punk genre!

This album met my incredibly high expectations. The Backchannel Broadcast is the best record I've ever heard. Buy that first. If you love it, buy this one next. I was ready for some level of disappointment after the Backchannel Broadcast and the breakup of the band, but I will go so far as to call this the best reunion album in the history of rock and roll.

This is no Death By Televison, BUT it is very good...VERY GOOD. I'd say up there with the best of '06 so far... like the Falcon Record, the Methadones record, and the Dead To Me record. Buy this if you have any brains or money.

Simply put, this sounds just like you'd expect a lillingtons album to sound: like rock 'n' roll. This is a solid album, with no filler. Every song is energetic and is awesome alone but better as a part of the album. LP comes on red with black splatter vinyl.
