I know 5-star reviews are thrown around a lot, but this is truly one of the greatest pop-punk albums of all time. I generally hate to tell people that I enjoy pop-punk, because they assume I mean stuff like Fall Out Boy and Good Charlotte. Nuh-uh. That crap doesn't even belong in the same sentence as the Queers. There's punk-flavored pop, and then there's pop-flavored punk. This album is the latter. It wouldn't be blasphemous to put this band in the same league as the Ramones. Some of the songs are a little immature, of course, but the songwriting and musicianship is so damn GOOD that I can't be offended. Wow. Well done, guys.
BTW - also see them live. It's an even better experience.

What has not already been said about this perfect record? First of all it is hands down the greatest name for an album of all time. Joe Queer is a friggin' genius. He has kept doing the right thing for music for over 20 years and this is most definitely the crowning jewel in the Queers long list of accomplishments. If you don't have "Love Songs For the Retarded" your record collection is incomplete. BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second time ive owned this cd.I bought it when it wasnt out of print, and I must say...I LOVE YOU MIKE!Mike did the best job of remastering this amazing disc. The best part about it was the basslines. On the original, you can barely hear the bass lines at all,on this disc, the basslines(even the bass rhythm section) can be heard which is quite a nice bonus. The vocals are more understandable, the drums sound better....ITS AMAZING. On the Screeching Weasel reissues I couldnt really tell that they got reissued, I guess I could a little bit(not really that much) but on this one, well,it sounds brand new! This is a classic album that everyone who likes hardcore, punk, emo whatever should own. Its fun to listen to,it has Joe Motherfucking Queer and it totally is one of the best cds ever(my 3rd favorite of all time).Do yourself a favor and click buy right now.If you like the queers, get this. If you dont know who the Queers are....A:shoot yourself B:get this album.

My favorite punk rock album of all time! Usually I don't think albums should be reissued...unless there will be new bonus tracks or the album has been out of print. But in this case, this is a classic that a whole new generation of punk kids should be privledge to. So it's great that Asian Man Records has reissued this classic. Thanks Mike! It is kind of funny to hear "TEENAGE BONEHEAD" (my fav Queers song) with faster drum tracks. Oh well... Anyways, I really look forward to the rest of the reissues!
