Upsettin' Ernesto's (Live Import)

Music Machine 3

Released on February 1, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The evening started with a set of SLACKER's songs, then there was a set with GLEN ADAMS and SUSAN CADOGAN being backed up by the Slackers, and then again a set of Slacker's songs. This album "Upsettin' Ernesto's" (named after THE UPSETTERS, Glen's old band) is a live representation of both nights that this revue took Ernesto's (Sittard, Netherlands) by storm. It's also an excellent follow-up to the "Slacker's Live At Ernesto's" album from 2000 that sold extremely well. 18 songs/72 minutes, including 9 songs not available on ANY other Slackers album!

Well, this CD is certainly an improvement from Live At Ernesto's. Not to say that was lacking, but this has some quality material featured on it. Glen Pine singing Cupid makes the disc worthwhile, and the songs featuring Susan Cardogan are also pretty catchy. All of the songs on this CD that are from Wasted Days are improved greatly. This is a solid release from start to finish, and I highly recommend it.

awesome record, way better than "Live at Ernesto's". Most of the songs, if not all, are better than the originals and give them an extra kick! The Sam Cooke cover is great, Pine has a set of pipes like nobody's business. Cookin' for Tommy has some added lyrics (just a chorus though)

i like the Susan Cadogan songs but not the Glen Adams tracks so much. Overall a really great album. A must have for a die hard fan or someone who wants to get a taste of the slackers sound.

they also have a 3rd live album called "Slack in Japan" not available on this site, it only has a few songs that aren't on the previous 2 but is still worth picking up.

Hooooooooooooooooo man, this is really good. Even better than the previous live album, complete with even a Sam Cooke cover. This performance has a lot of diversity and doesn't ever go dry like most 3rd wave ska nowadays. Gets you into the groove when you're in a good mood and makes everything allright. All right.
