I got into Bury Your Dead pretty late (just before the release of this album!) but I was a fan of Hamartia before hand (present-day BYD bass and drums) and decided to give BYD a try. I'm not usually a fan of the repetitive breakdowns hardcore a-la Hatebreed and Throwdown. Sure they're good, but get boring FAST! However, this is not so for BYD. Each album , from start to finish, is original enough to keep me interested yet still PACKED with beatdowns! Finally, a band gets it right, and Beauty and the Breakdown is no exception! Most bands fade with age and each album, these guys are just gathering steam and you KNOW something even more brutal, more intense is around the corner! Hatebreed's got NOTHING on these boys! Plus, they've got a great sense of humor, the songs on Cover Your Tracks were named after Tom Cruise movies, and BATB has gone the way of fairy tales! Seriously, these guys are the complete hardcore package, buy this cd and all the others, there will be no regrets!

This is a great cd. The best i've heard in a while. You can't go wrong with hardcore & BYD are the perfect example.

I'll definetely be getting more stuff from these guys in the future.

I don't like this as much as "Cover Your Tracks." There are a little to much electronics. These guys are pushing the boundries of Hardcore and starting to sound a little more "Nu-Metal."Wouldn't recommend this one. Try another BYD album if your just getting into them. But,if your just getting into Bury Your Dead, you've been living on another fuckin' planet.
