Whiskey On a Sunday features a Full-length CD with 10 New Flogging Molly Recordings! Includes five fan favorites recorded LIVE, four acoustic songs, and a Brand New Studio Track!
This full-length documentary was shot over two years and in seven countries, capturing the journey of Flogging Molly from their bar band roots to their
current success. Includes footage in the studio, on tour, at home, and at their sold-out homecoming performance at the Wiltern Theater in LA. This "in the
pocket" experience with the candid and charismatic Flogging Molly family is set to the driving beat of their thunderous live performances. Brought
together through unlikely happenstance and bound by an intense passion and heartfelt belief in what they do, the seven members and their associates
provide a good look at how things can be done against the grain. Their formula for success: believing in oneself, refusing to be pigeonholed, and rising
from humble beginnings to fulfill a dream.

If you've never had the pleasure of seeing Flogging Molly live, this is a must. As far as the cd goes, Laura is a good song, the live versions are great, I was hoping the acoustic versions would be faster, but they are still good. Not many people from my area have even heard of Flogging Molly, but when I saw them at the Warped Tour about four or so years ago in Bozeman, MT, they had arguably the biggest crowd (with other acts like Bad Religion, NOFX, that is quite impressive) and they were arguably the best show. Considering that Flogging Molly's music is quite complex compared to a lot of punk, to see how good they are live is just amazing. I live in an area that doesn't see many punk-rock concerts, so dvds and such are a welcome item, and the dvd on here is great. If you're a Flogging Molly this is a must own.

Good CD and DVD. Don't get if this is your first CD from FG though. If you have never heard of Flogging Molly, slap yourself. Start with Drunken Lullabies. If Flogging Molly is the only Irish rooted band you have heard (Dropkick Murphys don't count), then this is another opportunity to slap yourself. Go buy an album by Blood or Whiskey and a six pack of Killian's...now.

so this a partially live, partially acoustic album. if youre a fan, pick this up. actually, the dvd documentary is worth it enough, and the accordion player matt hensley, has the same name as my cousin(but he's not into punk or anything cool..he likes techno and house music..).buy this album, but keep it mind, it's not a new studio album.

My Highlights are Black Friday live... it captures the energy and crowd participation of a Live show & an amazing acoustic version of Another Bag of Bricks! It was nice to hear Laura recorded in a studio but I prefer the high energy poor quality track on Behind the Green door. The DVD is as good as a Music Documentary gets. You really get a sense of how much passion they have for what they do & they are truly for the people! With all that... Lets be real! there are no new songs & a DVD documentary. This is not something I would rock when getting pumped up for a Flogging molly show. It's a great price & I highly recommend it for Flogging molly fans. but for the occasional listener stick with the LP's.
Thanks for the Tee-shirt!

Great cd/dvd combo. The cd doesnt hit the cd player as much as any of their other releases, but if ya wanna turn somw heads throw on the dvd when your havin a few people over, its definitly a head turner. Its music for all ages, therefor enjoyed by all. Dave King (lead vocals/guitar) is on the cover when he was young boy you can definiftly see the resemblence. Regardless its Irish Punk rock music everyone can enjoi!

the dvd is really great, the photography is awesome, its one of the best music doc.s i've seen in awhile, you learn great stuff about the band an who they are as people which increase your (or at least it did for me) appreciation for their music. some great live footage of shows, in studio stuff, day to day things... the cd has acoutic and live tracks as well as a studio version of Laura... which is great you can compare it to Alive Behind the Green Door and really hear how they have grown and changed while still remaining true to themselves... Definitely for FM loves...

Flogging Molly as been my favorite bands since I was about twelve. I own every CD and I was extatic when I heard about the DVD coming out, along with the live CD, Whiskey On A Sunday.
The DVD depicts the group in such a light that makes me love them even more than I have before. Each member gives their own opinions on their music, the other musicians, and their own life stories ( to an extent ). There are many funny anectdotes along with sad stories told by Dave and Nathan. This DVD really shows the fundementals of Flogging Molly, the reason they do what they do, and why they are so good at it.
The live tracks give a very different sound of most of the songs. For example, " Drunken Lullabies" is slowed down but sounds alot more relaxing and less distorted.
All in all, this is a great DVD and Album that everyone should pick up today!!!

Lets see, a shirt, a DVD, and the soundtrack all for the the preoder price of around 17 dollars, you cant go wrong with that. The DVD is fantastically done and gives you a deeper look into the meaning behind their songs. The viewer really gains an appreciation for everything this band has been through together up to this point. They deserve every bit of success that comes their way. Absolute pleasure to watch and listen to. I highly recommend this to anyone who ever liked Flogging Molly.
