Ryan's Hope sounds a lot like if old Metallica was a Chicago pop-punk band. It sounds crazy when you think about that but if you listen to this then that description should make perfect sense. There are a lot of great catchy tunes on here, especially the first three songs. These guys are also a blast to watch live. I don't know what Punknews Records (ORGCORE!!) is up to these days but I think Adam, Aubin, & Scoot Heisel should gather up their loot and get these guys back in the studio pronto to record & put out another album.

Oh man this blew me away. These guys rip through every song. If you like punk without all the whining then pick this up. Musically these guys are really tight and kind of sound like a 2006 version of 1988 Bad Religion. Great, great stuff.

Fucking Unbelieveable album. Words cannot describe how good this really is. Easily in my top 5 albums of 2006. Not a bad song in the bunch with By The Sword standing out for me.
If you haven't heard this cd, buy it NOW!!!

I appreciate this band a lot. pretty good punk and roll music with more of an Artsy feel. This band (or at least the vocals) remind me a lot of ALL, or LESS THAN JAKE. He totally sounds like those dudes. There music is kind of rock and rolly, but really fast for punk rock fans, and they get pretty Metal-ish at times. They also dont say the F word every five seconds wich i appreciate a lot. A good mature band. Worthy to check out.

There's a lot of hype about these guys and they are different to most punk bands. Nice and heavy, brutal production yet still very listenable. "Fiction and Transendence" doesn't appear on here (their best song) but "The Carpathian" and "Reiteration" are great.
Takes a while to get into but is well worth it

After their somewhat underwhelming debut release (Sommerset), Punknews Records gets it right with this one. Ryan's Hope play a pretty standard brand of melodic hardcore, with few surprises and no expirementation, but they possess all the elements that make a solid punk band. Technically, these guys are up there with Strung Out (but I'd say they sound much fresher than that dying horse). Keep on with the orgcore, Punknews.

I've been waiting a long time for this release. Much of an improvement from "Trials Of Recession". Like the dude below said, every song is good! I have to say that half the songs ressemble "Trials..." with better production and the other half are rockin' and out of this world. Great production from Mr. Precision too. Only one guitarist since they are a 3 piece but two guitars were recorded and sound sweeeet. Bass pedal is loud and thick too. One of the top releases this year by far.
