By 2001, metal mavens DARKEST HOUR had released two seven inches, one CD EP and one full length album. The buzz surrounding the ferocity and pure, unadulterated talent of this Washington, D.C. quintet was deafening. Victory Records quickly signed the passionate, politically fueled DARKEST HOUR, and released the epic So Sedated, So Secure. The underground music community, from the innermost metal circles to the hardcore and punk worlds, quickly adopted DARKEST HOUR as the kings of metal. Now, five years after the original release of So Sedated, So Secure, Victory Records and DARKEST HOUR are giving fans a taste of where the madness all began by reintroducing the classic album that jump started a movement and proved that there is still a home for passion in metal. The re – issue of So Sedated, So Secure, includes three classic songs made over by DARKEST HOUR. “Fuck Police Brutality” by ANTI FLAG, “Be Forewarned” from PENTAGRAM and “Go Back To The Gym” by BATTERY receive the royal DARKEST HOUR treatment of intertwining guitar solos and intense vocals. The vocals on the entire album were re - recorded for a contemporary feel, and the original So Sedated, So Secure has been remixed in its entirety.

Darkest Hour are THE FUCKING TITS!!!!!!
Im slowling building my collection of their albums, and as yet, ive been nothing short of extatic with all of them.
This cd is raw as hell, its metal as fuck and catchy as shit!!! Its the Darkest Hour we all love, but obviously, with a more dated sound, a bit older and more rustic with perhaps not the same recording quality and melody as the newer albums.
Still this cd blows me away every time i hear it. And the 3 comedy tracks at the end are FUCKING HILARIOUS! Probably the funniest dudes ive ever met, and had the joy of listening to.
Buy this cd if you like Darkest Hour or just great metal. And if you like songs about polar bears, well, this cd is for you aswell.
FIVE FUCKING STAR!

An Awesome release from Darkest Hour. When do they not put out something great? Being an owner of the old version of this album this is definitly an improvement in the recording quality. Like the dude who wrote the review previous to mine, great vocals/drumming, and just great everything. Darkest Hour is one of the best metalcore bands that have been playing for a long time. I hope their next release is even better than Undoing Ruin. I look forward to more amazing music from these guys.
