Anti-Flag's Major Label debut!
Since For Blood And Empire is their first album since the 2004 Presidential debacle, Anti-Flag has amassed a lot to say. So, this time around they’ve enlisted the help of RCA Records, but in true Anti-Flag fashion, the band insisted For Blood and Empire still be done their way. They approached Rick Rubin protégé Dave Schiffman (System of a Down, Thrice, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave), to co-produce with them. With Schiffman by their side, the band’s messages are sounding bigger and more intense than ever.

Flag, Flag, Flag, Flag, Flag, Flag, Flag!
Dude it's Anti-Flag....so pretty much a great cd from start to finish. Be sure to check out tracks 9 and 10. Track 5 is kinda dope and chill too. Not quite as good as their best old stuff, but still really good.
"Anti-Flag?....That doesn't mean anti the American flag does it?....Right on!"

I like Anti-Flag's older stuff, after listening to this record a few times I was dissapointed and bored because of the lack of the rawness of their older days. The turning to a major label wasn't a good idea in my mind. The songs are more poppy and catchy. I hate that. But the lyrics are still good. -3 points-

This is a decent album, It does not have the rawness or abruptness or anger and passion encapsulated in the older CD's. The band would eventually run out of good ideas and toics to sing about and I think that was becoming aparrant in The Terror State and even more so in this album. Although the band is a great driving force in peace-punk, and all that good liberal stuff, they are running out (have already run out) of things to sing about.

Marco Varberg Sweden This is one of the best records that i´ve ever heard! It´s a real masterpiece, I don´t think that any band can beat the lyrics! They are so powerfull and smart! And the music...ohh the music is like balm for youre ear! Anti-Flag has always been and will always be my favorite band! The politics are explained in a real good way and all sources are up too. I just love it, so if you have´nt got this record yet then shame on you and buy it right now!
peace and love, Marco

I love ANTI-FLAG! Ive seen them live twice and both times they blew me away! They are never bad, but to be perfectly honest, this cd did not do alot for me. I think that Underground Network is by far the best AF cd, and that they tried to go a little bit back to the New Kind of Army days with this cd. Its poppy and infectious, but it just doesnt have the gusto that makes AF such a great band!
Buy it if you like the Terror State, and definately if your an AF fan, but if you want their best work then buy Underground Network!

Huge Anti-Flag fan, im not too sure about this CD thought. I own every other Anti-Flag cd, and i refuse to listen to this one anymore. Since Underground Network there has been a slip from Anti-Flag, even thought i liked that CD and The Terror State. I used to love the awesome bass lines, and drumming that came from Anti-Flag, but it seems that they have gone real poppy. By Anti-Flag standards, the lyrics kinda suck as well, and dont so much grab me by the collar, and hit me in the face, like a lot of their older lyrics do. Im sorry if you dont like this review, but if Anti-Flag have taught me anything, i should say what i really think, and not go a long with the flow. And i hate to give it a bad review, cause i really do love this band, and I met Justin Sane, and he is the nicest guy i have ever met, but this latest work sucks.

I found the CD to be as politically charged and full of the same energy as previous releases. It documents what is being done by our current administration. When you listen to Anti-Flag CDs years from now, you'll know the turmoils that America was enduring. They don't stray from their typical format so don't expect surprises.

This CD Is fairly good, I was expecting to be pretty lame after hearing the terror state but I was surprized. I thought about half the songs were above adverage. "Citys Burn" is and amazing song aswell as "Hymn For The Dead". I'm glad I picked it up.
