It took me over three months to get this record, but it was worth waiting for. The Briefs is a great punkband and even if this is not their best, it's still so much better than all the emo-crap and MTV-punk out there. Pogo you fuckers!

Who doesn't love The Briefs? I mean seriously, they are such an incredible band that has always had something about them that made them just a little different. Not only do they never dissapoint with their releases, but they also put on one hell of a live show. I bought this on cd finally last year and decided I should just review it! Get this and all their other releases.

The Briefs are hot shit, plenty of fast and fun songs that fit the Ramones-core (you can make anything a "core" these days) definition but also has somewhat of a retro UK punk type sound to it, despite them being from Seattle, WA. So yeah, despite what others here may say in these reviews, this is my favorite Briefs record out of all of them. There are so many great songs on here with witty lyrics.
Orange Alert has to be one of the catchiest songs I've heard in a long time, I dare you not to sing along to it every time you listen to it. No More Presidents and Destroy the USA are fitting political rants full of energy. Sex Objects and Shoplifting at Macy's are more on the humorous side. Ephedrine Blue and Antisocial are also great tunes with some damn catchy choruses. This is such a great album, the Briefs should be a household name by now. Do yourself a favor and buy this now if you don't own it yet and prepare to enjoy!!!

I like the Briefs, but this CD didn't make me want to keep listening. I love 'Destroy The USA' though. But none of the other songs got me too excited. A decent CD though. Just not up to par with previous releases if you ask me. Ok.

This was a sleeper. I didn't care much for it at first, but it grew on me. It's got that kind of Brit garage rock sound but with the message and positive attitude of punk rock. Give it a try, you'll be surprised.

This C.D. is quite good. It is like a lot of other street punk records, but is different in the fact that it is fresh and the music is not always cluttered. Almost like pop-punk but with a street edge. Great fucking record. GET THIS a.s.a.p.

A spunky, 70's and 80's style punk record; if Bad Brains liked New Wave, and wrote snotty lyrics about things ranging towards hatred of the government (Destroy the USA) and being killed by ants (Killed By Ants). Ranging from straightforwards punk to more poppy tracks, it's a very catchy, if a little repetitive, record, with well written guitar and bass hooks and riffs.
I love the audacity of this band...inside the CD case, the phone numbers of the band members are listed. The style and design of the actual case is very 'Give 'em enough rope'-esque, and has the DIY cut-and-paste thing going on. On the whole, it's well produced eye-candy for an above average record.
Stand-out tracks: Orange Alert, Destroy the USA, No More Presidents, Shoplifting At Macy's (this song could have been written by the Clash)

Once again the Briefs have decided to rise out from deep within the obscure confines of the underground music scene which has served as their home for the last few years. In doing so they've managed to release yet another record that follows in the same footsteps as "Hit after Hit," and "Off the Charts." "Sex Objects," is the band's third full-length album and although it doesn't stand out as much as it's predecessors it is still a great record that any Briefs fan shouldn't be w/out. The record offers fast and snotty vocals that compliment favorite anthematic numbers like, "Destroy the USA," and "Shoplifting at Macy's." New-comers should definately consider purchasing earlier Briefs releases before getting cozy with "Sex Objects." In the end, remember to-POGO YOU MOTHER-FUCKERS!!!

I've read some bad reviews about this one, so I was reluctant to buy it. WTF are you mouth-breathers talking about? This is a great record! It's faster, more consistent, and more politically charged than "Off The Charts". Listening to the record, you would never know the Briefs changed labels for this. It still sounds like the Briefs. Loud, fast & warped fun. Yes, Steve E. Nix sings with a silly English accent, but he also apparently writes the best tunes. I can't wait to see 'em live again. This is a band that has really come into its own. Clearly one of the best punk bands around.
