Ghost

This Pen Is A Weapon

Some 24

Released on June 1, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Music does not get any more honest than this. Chicago-based The Ghost, by way of Berkeley, CA, is ready to share with you their sophomore release, This Pen Is A Weapon, on Some Records.

Fueled by a desire to do something new and jolt people into self-realization, The Ghost has written one of the most sincere albums of its generation. "This sound is our lives, our hearts and our shadows. Our energy is raw. Our energy is passionate. We are deep into the struggle and committed to excellence." The Ghost doesn't care what brand of jeans you wear or what your self-proclaimed status is, and they are not afraid to tell things like they are.

Wow, this cd was interesting. Definetly some good punk here. I got into this band cause of their excellent song on "Oil". Anyway, every song has a few great parts and a lame one or two. track five is awesome, and nine, but one question when the ghost put this together, why did they have the singer sing like a robot? not a wise move. and i could do without the metal-esque "there are demons inside of us" line. but overall a good album worth a listen, i just wish this whore website carried their first cd. maybe they do. i dunno i didnt see it.

I've never written a review before, but seeing ignorant Robert's review as the only one for this album I felt compelled to retort. Robert is from Indiana, so it's not that big a suprise he is unable to recognize amazing music when he hears it. This Pen is A Wepon is one of the most honest and sincere albums I've heard in a long time. Brian Moss could be one of the definitive voices in music for this generation. Get this CD if you liked This Is A Hospital, or if you just like good music that fu@kn' rocks. Also check out Brian's other band Hanalei.... and Robert no more reviews until you actually know what the hell you're talking about.

This album is good however nothing special. I enjoyed "This is a Hospital" much more. After hearing this album I will probably never purchase another of their projects.
