AMP Presents Vol. 2 Street Punk

(Anti-Flag, Casualties, Bouncing Souls, Lower Class Brats, Toxic Narcotic, American Music Press (AMP))

AMP 2

Released on May 11, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Well, just as AMP Magazine had presented Hard Core with both a vengeance, and impeccable taste in Volume 1 of this series, Volume two of the AMP Magazine Presents… series sets it’s sights on the genre of Street Punk, and it follows right along in step. Plenty of inclusions that are no brainers ( THE UNSEEN, BOUNCING SOULS, THE CASUALTIES, LARS AND THE BASTARDS, ANTIFLAG, THE VIRUS, etc…), plenty of the bands you would hope someone doing this would be cool enough to put on, ( THE BRIGGS, THE HUNNS, GC5, THE FORGOTTEN, etc…), and even a few bands that you probably are not too familiar with that just plain rule the school (STREET DOGS, LANCASTERS, and so forth). Whether you are looking to expand your knowledge of the “who’s who and what’s what” in Street Punk, or you’re an old pro and you just want to have an amazing mix-CD added to your collection, at this price this is a sure thing.

if you want real street punk i dont recommend this cd at all. the casualties, the virus, the unseen and lower class brats are really the only bands close to street punk. the rest are just punk or even pop punk. i like most of the cd but its not street punk. if they wanted street punk they would have put luda armada on there.

26 songs for about 5 bucks? I thought it was a steal. Check out the wicked cover! It was a pretty nice comp.

A very good compilation. I wouldn't call every band on it "Street Punk", but you'll definatley like most of the songs on the album if you're into Street Punk.

This compilation cd sucks, I personally believe that AMP did kind of a SHITTY job pick out bands and songs. The only good bands to listen to are The Casualties, The Virus, The Unseen, Lower Class Brats, U.S. Bombs, Union 13, Defiance, and the Real McKenzies other than that all the other songs or bands or both suck.

Very good comp, one of the few that I actually listen to regularly. The only problem, though, is that all of the bands are fairly big, so there are most likely going to be no surprises, but I guess that's why it is so good. Buy it if you want good music, but not looking to find a new band.

This is a great disc for a nice price. All the songs are good in my opinion. Street punk is true punk. A great line up of bands. Most songs were previously released (maybe all) but it is still a killer comp with big name and little name bands. I like all the songs, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would the The Briefs- Destroy The USA. Thanks.

This is a real good compilation. Many many good bands with amazing music. I've heard better compilations though.

it's a bit irritating to have punk constantly broken down into various cores, but what can you do. Not only is this street punk but it's guitarandbasscore. Some real fun bands on here. Fuck the labels it is just good music. If you like mostly fast music (apparently not all "street punk" is fast and snotty) then get this. And it does not have all the best street punks bands around today. get your head out of your ass popularity boy

This cd is awesome. Its got all of the best street punk bands of today. It got the Casualties, the Unseen, Lower Class Brats, everyone. If your a hardcore punk like me, you'll agree that this is a must have. I think one song in particular, Throwbag's "Hang Up", is especially great, because it sounds like a good Sex Pistols song. Well anyway, this is good buy, so have fun and happy listening!!!!
