HAVE HEART was formed in July of 2002 when five friends aimed at the same goal of playing music
that was fun, hard, and that was centered around a good-hearted message. At first, the band agreed to
leave HAVE HEART as a side project, while every member was busy with other bands; Justin and Eric
were in THROUGH WORDS, Briggs was in TIME TO PAY and Pat was in THE ACTION TAKEN. Around
November of 2002, Pat was kicked out of THE ACTION TAKEN along with his friend Ryan Hudon for not
having the same goals and ideals as the rest of the band. Unhappy with the lack of interest put forth by
John D., HAVE HEART decided to replace him with Ryan Hudon, who embraces a more traditional sense
of hardcore. With the demise of almost all the members "priority" bands, HAVE HEART soon became
priority. In July of 2003, they played their first show followed by the release of their demo in November
of 2003. The demo circulated and took the scene by storm and eventually landed on the desk at Think
Fast! HQ. This resulted in the highly anticipated What Counts EP, which will go on to be remembered
as a classic release. Since the release of What Counts in the Fall of 2004, HAVE HEART have proved to
be at the top of their game, going on multiple national tours and creating an atmosphere at their live
shows that most bands dream of. With a powerful, sincere message, it shows that these guys will "have
heart" throughout their time together, because nothing truly works without heart.

Tremendous EP. Starts out with Lionheart, which is one of their best songs ever. Their live performance is a lot better, but on CD what can you do? Some of the best 6 songs you'll ever her from a hardcore band.

Have Heart does hardcore the right way. Fun music, plenty of dance parts, great lyrics. And, they have an incredible live show. On top of that, they are nice dudes, so you can't go wrong. You MUST pick this cd up. And once you have done that, find their nearest appearance near you and drive there, go see them, if you met me, you would thank me. Have Heart is killer.
