Sleepwalker

Interscope B000475502

Released on July 12, 2005

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

JamisonParker’s debut full length Sleepwalkeris a collection of well-crafted songs fitted with gorgeous sounds. The guitar tones alone were contrived with the kind of attention to detail that would make a Swiss watchmaker jealous. Putting yourself repeatedly through the wringer, whether it’s in search of the perfect guitar tone, or in dedication to the fine art of artfully spilling your guts, leads to a kind of certainty. Sleepwalkeris filled with the confidence and artistic ambition pretty much unchanged since before Jamison and Parker were JamisonParker, when they were just two guys writing songs in a bedroom.

This CD is ok. Their first album is better and they are great live. This album just wasn't as good and didn't live up to what I had heard about it.

Friends, Let me tell you this. I ordered this album on a whim and a recommendation. I wasn't expecting too much from it. I feel bad now, Do you want to know why? This album made so many emotions come up. These two guys make musical salavation. I almost drooled over myself. The perfect mix of pop-punk. It wasn't annoying, It wasn't irritating. Plus, They aren't emo enough to make you cut your wrists.

If you don't have "Sleepwalker" then you are a loser!! Just kidding, but you have to get the CD. Well when I got the CD I ecpected to just listen to it once and just put it in with the rest of the CD collection. But when it hit my CD player, I couldn't stop listening to it. I couldn't put it down. I was hypnotized by "Best Mistake" and I was so moved by "Here's Everything I've Always Meant To Say." To make a long statement short. JUST GET IT!!

With songs like Slow Suicide and Best Mistake, JamisonParker are a band for all those kids out there who dont want to listen to riddles and confusion. Its for those people who want to listen to raw emotion. It doesnt make me cry, but it makes me think, and it makes me feel a lot better about myself, somehow. It made me think that rejected, broken hearted or just depressed people are not actually the ones who are flawed, but it is the world around them and people that made them what they are that need to change. You can tell these two men have poured their hearts into this album, and its hard to believe this band is only two men. The sequencing and sound engineering are also great. All my friends have heard this album and love it as much as i do.
