Since their formation, CHIODOS have been focused on creating something different while letting their diverse influences shine
through. Their resulting debut full length is only definable as a melting pot of electronic beats behind piano, metal guitar riffs
and poppy melodic vocal lines that leave you humming. Heavy and harsh at one moment, beautiful and serene the next, seemingly
as a rule staying away from 'verse-chorus-verse' song writing. Their debut EP was a raw effort of oddly pieced musical
ideas and bedroom recordings, however it did not go unnoticed. Fans from their home state of Michigan and beyond buzzed
about the release, along with praise of the band's explosive live performances. Leading to what would eventually become 7 full
U.S. tours, thousands of CDs sold and countless enthusiastic fans. Influenced by SAVES THE DAY, QUEEN, and AT THE DRIVE IN,
CHIODOS create a sound both intense and versatile as they cross musical boundaries in every song.

Alright.
So basically this cd is pretty excellent in my books.
You've got your funky eighties style keyboard...and a singer with an interesting voice (not whiney like most other emo bands out there these days).
Back when I bought this cd it had to be one of my favorites for almost a few weeks...and I still keep it in regular listening rotation now.
It's kind of like...Underoath - the suckiness = Chiodos.
I'd recommend buying this album.

My brother actually bought this cd - I just put it on my account. It's pretty good, but nothing groundbreaking. It's kinda like The Fall of Troy but less interesting. The singer's singing voice is pretty good, but he uses the same notes over and over again. Like I said, good but not great. If you like the above mentioned band and stuff like Armour for Sleep and Thrice and so forth, check'er out.

Catchy. Catchy guitar, keys, and vocals. It's good, pretty good, not so good, but good. Yeah, it's pretty good, but not outstanding, just pretty good. Catchy. It's all pretty catchy. Not repetitive at all.

this cd is absolutely amazing. It hasn't left my stereo since I got it, excluding the part where I put it on the ol' mp3 so I can listen to it anywhere. But seriously, if you're a fan of the Mars Volta with a little Coheed action, you will fall in love with this cd instantly.

Jason Hale's mother was buds w/ my mother which is how the two of us met. I've been following Jason's musical endevors ever since he was in the Corpus Christi "Gun Core" scene That said... This band is excellent! they've managed to create something rather unquie... high pitched lyrics that break down into Chugga Chug roars... awesome! Buy this CD, but you proabably already Have because they were the Number 1 seller for a while

Incredible. Amazing. If you are in the mood for something new and refreshing then buy this. I used to listen to their demos and e.p. but this is way better. Its smart and refreshing. Screamo with a bit of piano, dance, funk, hip hop and breakdowns. Dont be a bitch, just buy it.
