Life In Your Way

Ignite And Rebuild

Indianola

Released on June 7, 2005

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

In an era where the lines between new "Screamo" and "Melodic" hardcore are blurring, Life in Your Way's "Ignite and Rebuild", serves up a full throttle blast of melodic hardcore that harkens back to the glory days of Hopesfall, Shai Hulud, and Strongarm while distinctly sprinkling their own spin on this once revered genre. Hailing from a tight nit Connecticut music scene that has produced such past and present hardcore stalwarts as In Pieces and With Honor, "Ignite and Rebuild" is Life in Your Way's follow up to their critically acclaimed 2003 release on Indianola Records "The Sun Rise and The Sun Sets and Still Our Time is Endless". Once again the band found themselves at the now infamous Zing studio's (Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Norma Jean) with Jim Fogarty manning the boards. With the hype and buzz surrounding Life in Your Way's latest release reaching a fevered pitch and massive touring plans to support the album that have already begun, Life in Your Way will surely achieve their place amongst those melodic hardcore greats of old.

man, this sounds rad. like season of fire, and old hopesfall. such a good mix. not to pussy even. a little singing but fits in so good. i like this more than anyother scream/sing band right now.

This album is pretty fucking alright. Life In Your Way manages to make a blend of modern day hardcore with strong melodies that I think still makes them a relevant band. If anybody is looking to buy their first LIYW CD I would recommend getting 'The Sun Rises...' as it is a really strong release and gives you a better idea of what these guys are about. Not to mention it's got Todd Fucking Mackey on it and he pretty much makes any band fantastic. An enjoyable CD.

This band is abso-fuckin*-lutly great! I love the sceamalongs in the songs. They have a super mix of post and sreamo which make this album one of the greatest in 2005. Hope to see these boys sone i Denmark, they will for sure make my day if they did. You have to buy the cd if you´re into Hopesfall, Poison The Well & Shai Hulud!!! 4,5 Stars to LIYW!!!

Typically when I buy a CD I will listen to it a bunch for the first couple weeks and then for the most-part forget about it. With "Ignite And Rebuild" this isn't true, I got this disc back in early July and I haven't stopped listening to it since then. I love how this band does such a great job of incorporating lots of styles into their music, do yourself and favor and give them a listen.

This album continues the melodic hardcore style that everyone knows and expects from Life In Your Way. This is a quality band and an excellent follow up CD. The new guitarist brings so much more to the song writing and over-all sound of this band. Definitely get this!

This is a cool cd. The vocals are awesome and some of the gi\uitar work sounds great. Only criticism would be the some of the songs are disjointed and hard to follow.

Worth a listen if you're into melodic hardcore though.

These guys remind me of Shai Hulud most of the time, sometimes there are hints of Poison The Well - Opposite of December Era. Over all its a very good cd, the hard parts are sick, the only downside to it is sometimes it goes into these soft singing emo parts, which in my opinion dont mix well with hardcore.

Great cd. Honestly, for having a complete line up change besides the lead vocalist, they haven't changed too much, besides heavier songs and much more breakdowns. It's a very enjoyable cd from start to finish. It's jammed with inspiring, and motivational lyrics as well. Buy this cd!

This is the last time! We're taking over!

This album is great! Way different than the old stuff. I assume because of the member changes. The drummer definitely adds a higher level of difficulty to the music not to mention the awesome guitar leads. The only thing that this album is missing is consistency... meaning... some of the songs drag on and get very boring... but that's only a couple. There are a couple parts where the vocals go off key but you have to listen very hard, some of the screaming gets annoying but it is what it is...o yea...the talking during the songs does get a little over done in one or two of the songs. Overall I would say buy it! If you are into Shai-hulud, strongarm, hopesfall or any other hardcore bands that have come out within the past 6-10 years. Great job guys!!!

The next album should be even better!!!!! I love you. aww yesss.. miss you gaskills
