Released on June 7, 2005

The masked, underdog champions of nerd-core, The Aquabats, are back with their first full-length album in six years. The band’s most cohesive album to date, Charge!! blends quirky, new wave melodies with the band’s hometown signature punk rock sound, concreted with their uniquely sarcastic, Saturday morning cartoon humor. Legions of loyal fans eagerly await this next episode from their rock ‘n’ roll superheroes. In fact, those same fans are largely responsible for snapping the band’s silent streak when they flocked to last year’s national tour. After their label, Goldenvoice Records, shut its doors in early 2000, The Aquabats went underground, living the lives of their secret identities, all the while their mythology amplifying online, fueled by hungry fans, speculating of their return to form.

Awesome album by The Aquabats. Look At Me and Nerd Alert are the best tracks on here. They should have applied a bit more of that steady lyric steady guitar beat instead of the speed techno-like tracks. Besides that, its a great buy. Its their best album so if you like The Aquabats or ska in general, pick this up.

The Aquabats are one of the many punk/ska bands that have carved a special niche in my memory of teenagerhood, and helped me get through it for that matter. Unfortunetly, the bands from those days that are still together seem to all be putting out less-then-memorable albums. Are they too old? I'm I too old? Both? Anyway, the Aquabats will always be super-rad and totally fun to go see, but this album is average compared to the earlier stuff.

I really miss the old ska Aquabats stuff... back when they used horns and such. Charge is still pretty cool, but it's not the same without the horns!

Key Tracks: Meltdown! Awesome Forces! Fasion Zombies!

The Aquabats are back! without horns? Take it as you will but its just not what it use to be, the album does still offer some great turnes such as Fashion Zombies! & Nerd Alert! but I would still much rather be listening to the Fury of the Aquabats!

This album rocks! I can't wait to smoke a fatty and pass out with my face in a bowl of cereal listening to this. One thing about it is pretty weird thoughe, track three seems to be about me. However, I don't think that's cool. It's like the gods are making fun of me, not cool.

Though it's true that this CD lacked seriously in the horn department, the Synth did a great job making up for it! Their songs still have the clever humor they're known for and some such as 'Fashion Zombies' contain a message to the listeners. The CD was great overall, but they REALLY have to kick off the next one with trumpets, or they'll lose some fans.

Typical Aquabatic lyrics, but their horns are completely out in this CD . . . very dissapointing. I really liked the CD Fury of, so I thought this CD would have some horn-action in it . . . definitely did not! There are still some damn good songs on here though. A good driving cd if you feel like chillin' and driving the speed limit!

Not Good. The Aquabats without horns? The horns replaces with a crappy synth? This Cd was not as good musically as previous Aquabats stuff, or lyrically as good as their older stuff. It kills me to say this but if this is the direction they are taking the band in, I dont want to listen anymore.

The Aquabats are back and kicking butt! This CD is great and the lack of horns doesn't really hurt it. The sound is different because of it, but not really any worse in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend people buy this if they are fans of the Aquabats.
