Unwritten Law is simply AMAZING. Every time I listen to this CD, it reminds me how much I love them. There's not a bad song on this CD. The only thing I don't like is that the bonus track is at the end of track 12 after lots of blank space. I hate that. The songs are catchy and are always, well, at least my head. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that these guys are fantastic live.

Most people say I am crazy when I say this is one of my favorite Down By Law albums but then again maybe I am crazy for liking this. The songs are so creative and well written it’s very easy to see why this record rocks so hard in my books. Seriously give it a listen or two you will soon be humming the amazing Down By Law choruses in no time.

This is the first unwritten law CD I bought; I usually just listen to some of their stuff online. I really like save me, she says, and walrus, but i thought the rest of the songs were mediocre. None of the songs are totally bad though. I still take this on long car trips and carry it around school. I think it's pretty good. So I don't know much about Unwritten Law's other albums, but I like this CD, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to check out Unwritten Law.

If you're expecting Oz Factor, their self-titled, or even Elva, then keep an open mind because they've changed again. This time they've incorporated a more power-pop style, relying on catchy pop hooks and bass lines more than anything else. I give this album a 3 because they've done better in their career, otherwise, taking it by itself, I'd consider giving it a 4 (not a 5 however). If you're basing your purchase on "Save Me", however, it will probably be worth it because it's a lot of that kind of stuff. The CD starts out strong, "Get Up" is a great opening track and my favorite on the CD, however it seems like each subsequent song gradually gets worse until a forgettable ending. Looking for punk rock? Look away, this isn't even close to the Unwritten Law of old.
