Awesome cd!! Incredible blend of hardcore and metal! Intense breakdowns, great sing alongs, heart-felt posi lyrics, what more could you ask for!? A blast of positive energy packed into a frame of brutal guitars, and sound drumming! A definite must have if you like metalcore, ahrdcore, or just music!

although hardcore and metal are combined so much these days that neither one of them seem to exist anymore, Above This Fire still succeeds to make an original blend of it. harsh hardcore/punk-like vocals, combined with fast-paced hardcore and a bit of metal influences. even a few seconds of blastbeat.. pretty good album.

Solid debut from one of Cleveland's finest. The album sounds just as described by the hype the last few months...very catchy old school hardcore mixed with a taste of metal. Plenty of singalongs and breakdowns, the lyrics are posi delivered passionately and articulately, so its easy to listen to. Hopefully the rest of the country will catch on.
