This is great. After watching and listening to this great show, I had to go seek out SHANE MCGOWAN & The Popes "The Snake" CD. This is a 1995 show in support of the "Snake" album, but Pogue lovers don't fear! Shane and the boys play plenty of classic Pogues tunes you have grown to love. Good performance! Shane looks like he is in good condition. This is a great Shane performance i'm sure you will treasure. The only thing I wish they would have done was add some special features to the DVD like an interview with Shane, that would have made this release extra special.

This is an excellent piece of MacGowan and the Popes are top notch as well. Loud and cantankerous at times and soft and sweet at others. Shanes work always comes across with an intangible quality that sets it above the work of contemporary celtpunks like Floggy Molly or the Dropkick Murphys...Is that there name? This DVD contains an amazing set that shows up both Shanes amazing skill and his drunken bumbling which fit so well together. I love it!

This DVD kicks pretty much ass, Shane McGowan is pretty much the most intoxicated human being you will ever see. If you thought you'd see his eyes in this DVD ur pretty mistaken. The songs kick ass, so do the Popes, and so does Shane
