You know old AFI was pretty good. This stuff wasn't groundbreaking or outstanding by any means but at least back then they sounded like a solid punk rock band. I'm not sure what the hell happened to them now; now they sound like a parody of all that cheesy rock shit from the 80's but while also trying to be modern and being completely serious about it all at the same time. Their new stuff sounds like music for 14 year olds all dressed up in black with those silly haircuts and with Nightmare Before Christmas shit all over their rooms that they got from the mall.
Well at least Nitro is doing quite well signing decent bands with all the cash AFI's back catalog is getting them. They were smart in releasing this collection despite AFI's wishes; it gives me a chance to realize there was once something good about this band. Well enjoy!

I absolutely LOVE this CD. This has a lot of songs from their early punk days. I love that you can hear the Misfits influence in some of these songs. My favorites are "Third Season" and "He Who Laughs Last..." After listening to this, how can anyone NOT be an AFI fan?

If you like AFI, get this CD. This is sort of a "Greatest Hits" CD, so I would recommend it to anyone who just wants an awesome AFI mix.

well, i thought it was awsome. it was my first time listening to this band, and i thought they would suck based on what some peeps told me, so i guess they can go fuck themeselves cause it was pretty good. my favorite would have to be "i wanna mohawk (but my mom wont let me get one)" i like that one cause i wanna mohawk but my parents wont let me, they think it comes off as threatening... i liked it alot. i liked every song on here, so i will be listening to it alot. so whoever is lookin at this should buy it cause it's awsome.

Well i must say that this cd is awesome. I love it. It has all its classical songs from answer that and say fashionable up to the art of drowning and new songs that just rock. AFI is the best band of the year. Also the art work is incredible its so dark and pretty. If your a huge AFI fan you so have to have this cd in your collection...

This cd is fantastic. I think it would be a great idea for those who are just becoming fans of AFI because it has some classics on it. I wouldn't call it a "best of" though cuz there are better songs but all songs by AFI are amazing so a definate buy for anyone

everything good has already been said about AFI - this band has a sound all their own! this is basically a "best of" collection from their nitro releases, before their major label debut. all the classics are here, a great additon for anyone who doesn't have all their older albums. contains some rare tracks never available on CD before for the most adamant fans. really shows their transition from a hardcore band to their darker 'goth punk' sound now. i recommend this to fans who want everything ... and to the new fans that fell in love with "sing the sorrow" and want a look back at their incredible past.
