I don't think it is possible for Mike to put out a bad album. Another bonafide five star release. Between the first three albums of his I own, it is generally impossible to pick one I like better than the other. So I would just pick between which of those appeals to you most and go with it.

I've pretty much run out of things to say heh but I believe this was the first one not recoded in Mike's bedroom. It does sound a little more open and expansive, but it still has all the elements of his past work. This one still feels intimate and has a sense of earnestness found in the last two. If you are looking for some heartfelt music that is more laid back but totally hits the mark this is it.

the first owen cd i bought was the s/t. that enthralled me. five minutes of one riff..... then a few months later i bought this. mike kinsella has matured lyrically and musically. theres also a full band on this. it just gives the music body, it doesnt disort anything. five stars for mr. kinsella. buy all four cds together. its like a story.
