Angel City Outcasts

Five years in the making, Angel City Outcasts was finally formed in early 2002 with ex-members of two local LA Bands, Youth Rebellion and Broke 'Til Thursday. Being friends for years, Alex Brugge (lead vocals), Alex Zabolotsky (bass), Artack Boroyan (lead guitar), and Bob Zamudio (rhythm) saw it as a perfect opportunity to consolidate their personal chemistry and talent with a single band. Right around that time the four met Ryan Markley (drums), who's personality and musical taste was in sync with the rest of the group and ACO was at last complete. Rearranging a small selection of key songs from the previous two bands, the Outcasts formed a foundation for a distinct style, which combined the urgency and charisma of Youth Rebellion and the versatility and musical skill of Broke 'Til Thursday. Angel City Outcasts brand of street punk/rock n' roll is straight from the streets and into your stereo. They lyrical content ranges from personal experiences to fictional stories set in a humorous and/or satiric tone. Unlike many bands in the punk genre, good song writing is the nucleus of Angel City Outcasts as a band. With a fast and steady growing fan base as well as the new EP as a sample of the Outcasts' might, the band is planning to build a large and loyal following in their hometown and record a ground breaking full length album before taking on the rest of the world.
