Righteous Jams
Rage Of Discipline CD

Righteous jams is an amazing Straight Edge band from Boston. What makes them good is their mid-tempo and old school sound. What makes them amazing are their lyrics. Literally every song is well-written and very positive. This ain't Outbreak. The tempo changes keep the music interesting, and every song is in your face. This is a perfect hardcore album.

NOFX
The Decline LP

Easily NOFX's best work. The Decline is an 18 minute long song that runs together seamlessly. As NOFX states on the slip, "do not attempt this song at home." The lyrics are perfect, the music is perfect, and the vinyl makes it even better.

Side B is a demo copy of Clams Have Feelings Too.

Catch 22
Dinosaur Sounds CD

meh...not good, not bad. not Catch's best stuff, but not their worst either. I prefer Streetlight Manifest a little more, since they are a little faster with little more energy, but this CD is still a must for any Catch-22 fan, or most ska fans. Best Tracks are: Dreams of Venus, Rocky, and Regression.

Chariot
Everything Is Alive Everything Is Breathing Nothing Is Dead And Nothing... CD

Norma Jean's (you didn't expect a Chariot review without mention of Norma Jean, did you?) best work to date is definitely Bless The Martyr, Kiss The Child, mostly because of the intense vocals. So when I heard that front-man Josh Scogin had a new band, I was quite excited. The Chariot works with the intensity of Norma Jean, and only builds upon it. The Breakdowns are harder, the guitars or even more insane, and the vocals are actually beautiful. Everything a hardcore band needs...

The best part of The Chariot's freshmen release? The album does not get old. It is not the same song over and over, they all range from the blazing fast 'Yellow Dress: Locked knees', to the slow melodic 'And Then Came Then'. Sound clips and such like a banjo intro into 'Die Interviewer(I am only speaking German)' keep the sound fresh. Expect big big BIG things to come from one of the hardest working bands in new-wave hardcore.

He Is Legend
I Am Hollywood CD

EXCELLENT excellent album. He Is Legend is one of those bands that will turn the heads of any music enthusiast, regardless of their genre preference. The vocals are well done, screaming or not, and the guitar work is amazing. most critics complain that the Album "genre hops" too much. I think that the confusion in He is Legend's work is the best part. It's simply awesome when a Santain-esque song breaks down into Schuyler screaming 'Oh NO Oh NO" over and over. The chaos is beautiful. "The Seduction", "I Am Hollywood", "...Best In Mexico" are three of the best tracks, but the whole album is awesome. Easily one of Solid-States best put-outs, and required listening for any Screamo fan.

Kicked Squat In The Nuts CD

Danger Zone's first comp. Danger zone has come a long way from this first comp, and ska fans would be better off with their other comp, Sounds From The Underground. This showcases some ska, some punk, but mostly emo pop-punk.

This is one of those 'buy it if you just won 8 dollars off of your best buddy in a pool game' albums.

Danger Zone Records Presents: A Call For The Underground CD

This album is great! Perfect for any punk and ska fans out there. A call from the underground features the best small time ska and punk bands from all of the U.S (with the exception of Big D). The ska bands defiantly take center stage on this album, since most of the punk bands on this CD are fairly generic. A must have for all ska fans!
