How do I view my order status?
On the main Customer Service screen you can enter your account number and password to view the status of all of your orders.
When will I get my order?
Over 90% of orders ship either the same or next business day. Within 15 minutes of you placing your order, you can check your order status by logging onto your Interpunk account and going to the Customer Service section. If items are not in stock we can sometimes give you the date we expect to receive another shipment of that item from our supplier but the date is not always guaranteed. The order status screen will give you all of this information live so check back often for an update
What could slow down my order?
We stock the most commonly purchased items, so most orders ship the same or next business day. If you order obscure LP vinyl records, obscure 7" vinyl records, or rarely purchased CDs your order could be delayed a week because we have to order them from our suppliers. This is not a big deal because we already order stuff multiple times a week from each of our suppliers. If one of these items gets reported as Backorder on your order status screen then this means that the item is currently out of stock both here at InterPunk and at our supplier. Backordered LPs, 7"s and CDs sometimes get canceled because they may be out of print or no longer available from any of our suppliers. If this should happen we will e-mail you to let you know.
Explain what each of the order status codes mean.
||These items require payment before they can begin processing.
||These items were canceled by either you or us. If they were canceled by us, then they are either, 1) Out of print, 2) No longer available from any of our suppliers, 3) Won't be available for several weeks or months.

||These items have not been processed yet. Please check back later today.
|Ready to ship
||These items are in stock and reserved for you.
||These items are not in stock, but are on order from one of our suppliers. If we know the expected arrival date, it is shown next to the item. If no date is shown, check back in a day or 2. These dates are only estimates and can change at any time.
|Backorder from Supplier
||These items are out of stock both here and at our suppliers'. Since our supplier is out, we have to wait for them to restock the item. Once they get it in stock they will ship some to us. It is hard to estimate when Backordered items will be back in stock. It could be days, or in rare cases, weeks. If an item's status changes to Backordered, this means that both we and our supplier are out of stock, so there is no telling exactly when we will get that item back in stock again. We will keep trying to order it from our supplier once or twice per week until they finally get it. You can decide how long you want to wait for a backordered item to get back in stock, but you have 3 options available to you in order to not hold up the rest of your order from shipping.
- You can replace the backordered items with other items that are in stock.
- You can cancel the backordered items.
- If you are paying with a credit card, you can choose to split the shipping on the order and pay a little extra shipping. If you split the shipping we will ship the items that are in stock immediately and then we'll ship the other items once they come in stock again.

How do I choose alternative items for backordered items?
You will need to be viewing your order status. You will see the option to click on to replace backorderd items.
How do I cancel an order?
On the order status screen you will see the option to click on to cancel your order. If your order is about to ship, the cancel order option may not be shown. If this is the case, send us a message from the order status screen and we will try to cancel the order before it ships. If your payment has already been processed and you want to cancel your order, we will issue you store credit on your Interpunk account.
