My Chemical Romance - I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love
My Chemical Romance

I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love

Eyeball 22

Released on August 20, 2002

Sorry, but this item is no longer available

The newest addition to the Eyeball Records family, My Chemical Romance stands up to their self-imposed challenge, bringing a unique, honest, and brutal sound to the scene. By the release of their self recorded Attic Demo, "Dreams About Stabbing and or Being Stabbed' MCR had created a buzz and delivered a live show so intense it far surpassed the hype building around them. Described when playing live like 'A swarm of vampire bats', their shows have the makings of an exorcism, cascading into a head-on collision of explosive drums, lacerating guitar riffs, machine gun bass lines, and dark melodic vocals. Killing off all the demons and non-believers with their tales of revenge, switchblade saints, magic bullets, anti-depressants, and the loneliness of the modern office space, the band finishes the set in an inspiring wreckage of human tragedy - if they don't happen to kill each other first.

I heard of this band very eary in the year(demos) and was hooked. Months later, I got the full length and I nearly pissed myself with joy. The lyrics and sound play off each other perfectly. So buy this CD now so you can say "Dude I heard'em first", because MCR is going to be HUGE!

12/28/2002 by Matt from Plainfield, IL Rating:
Words can hardly explain just how good this cd really is. Every song on this cd is a extremely good and it's one of those few cd's you can listen to straight through. This is a great cd for anyone into Senses Fail, Thursday and the Alkaline Trio. Although, they are more or less a mix of those bands. The vocals can be dark and screamy at times (Vampires will never hurt you) and at other times really poppy (Headfirst for Halos), although the constant theme of dark lyrics are seem throughout the whole cd. I know alot of people will question whether to buy this or not, but don't, seriously, you won't be disapointed at all in buying this.

DEAR LORD! I love this cd. Poppy at times but dark, evil, gothic, scarry lyrics and then screaming. I wish I had more to say about this album but like the week after I got this, Amanda barrowed it. And now I really want to listen to it.

12/3/2002 by Marcus from Pennsauken, NJ Rating:
great cd. quality rock. "vampires will never hurt you" is a great song. they are even better live. its like afi lyrics with a harder thursday style music.

8/26/2002 by Scott from Homestead, PA Rating:
Wow, this CD rules. I knew it'd be good when I heard Vampires Will Never Hurt You a while ago. Good emocore, and they have some gothic culture influence. Great lyrics, song titles, really talented band here. I see it's already out of stock, so that's saying something. This might be in my top 10 of the year.

My only complaint is that it took a week to come in. Usually, it takes 3 days, but this was much longer.
