| I just can't get into this CD. The first and last track are good, but the songs sandwiched in the middle are a little.....blah? They definately blend sounds from a lot of different genres, but the post hardcore/punk sound ends up prevailing. There are some off-time, off-key melodies that reach for something new, but end up coming across as if they're trying a little to hard to inovate. The push for something groundbreaking, but natural comes out slightly forced. Maybe it needs more time to grow on me, but it seems more and more likely that this one will sit on my shelf and get pulled out only when I'm really bored with everything else. |
