Cobra Skulls - Sitting Army
Reno's Cobra Skulls play a brand of leftist punk that blends crust, folk, rockabilly, skate-punk, and who knows what else. Some say they sound like The Clash, some say The Living End, some say Against Me!. Because of their varied influences, Cobra Skulls deliver a record so dynamic that everyone's ears will perk up. And just when you think they've run outta tricks, they bust out with songs in Spanish... aye carumba!

Wow. I don't know if there's anything further I should say... I guess I have to in order to actually post. This album is one of the best I've ever heard. The well thought lyrics and the catchy tunes make this album, to me, rank in the top 10 best, ever!

Awesome CD! I didn't give this release a chance when it first came out, because I thought it was so stupid that everyone of their songs had 'cobra' in the title. Kind of like the Awesome Snakes. So I didn't take them seriously, until I hear their 7" called "Never Be A Machine". I couldn't believe how good the band sounded and that actually their songs had a lot of meaning despite the titles. So I bought this CD and I love it. And in fact I can't wait for them to do another full length CD/LP. Speaking of LP! I hope someone issues this this album out of vinyl soon too!

Great album all the way through. All of the songs are fun and easy to sing along to after one listen. Check this out if you enjoy any other Red Scare bands, Against Me!, and/or Dead To Me.

This is really good if you like Cobra Skulls, if you don't know if you like them check there myspace and if you like those songs you will like these. my only bitchin' point is that it is kinda short, 13 songs that add up to just under 30 minutes. but I love cobra skulls, there other stuff is great too. Best Tracks are ... Faith is a cobra, The cobra and the man-whore, Charming the cobra, Anybody scene my cobra?, Cobra Skull graveyard, and Cobracoustic. all the tracks are solid but those are my favorite. Long live Cobra Skulls!

This album is great. I thought the Cobra Skulls were pretty good from listening to their songs on their MySpace, but didn't expect this to be all that great. There are a few songs that I didn't particularly like on this album ("I'll Always Be A Cobra Skull (Folk Off!)", "¡Hasta Los Cobra Skulls Siempre!", and "Cobra Skulls Graveyard"), but even those songs are good in their own way. The other songs on this album made me forget that there were some songs that I only thought of as all right. "Faith Is A Cobra", "Don't Count Your Cobras Before They Hatch", "Charming The Cobra", "Anybody Scene My Cobra?", and "Cobracoustic" were all really catchy and had great lyrics and music.

High energy punk. Topics are all about social problems but done in a fun way. Musically they are a fast punk band with no frills. I dig Faith is a Cobra, Charming The Cobra, Hasta Los Cobra Skulls Siempre (but I think the version on Draw Muhammed is better), and Cobracoustic.

Wow. This is one of the best musical finds I've had in a long time. These guys are amazing. The singer sounds a lot like Tom of Against Me and I've heard the music be described as sort of like The Clash. Its got a like of rockabilly sound to it. The few spanish songs are a nice addition too. I expect a lot from this band. I'm sure they won't dissapoint.
