Falcon
Unicornography
(Members Of Alkaline Trio, Rise Against, Lawrence Arms)
Red Scare 109
Released on September 26, 2006
|
Members of The Lawrence Arms and Alkaline Trio reunited for a proper full length! Yep, The Falcon is back and these aren't throw-away songs from their other bands. No ma'am, these tunes have been percolating for the last two years and they are truly a departure from what you've heard before. There's everything from Clash-esque ska to balls-out rock reminiscient of Guns N' Roses. And unlike the EP where everything was tracked in their bedrooms and kitchens, they actually used a real studio this time! Genuine professionals. Fans of Midwest punk have waited two years for more songs from The Falcon, and "Unicornography" has landed!

| This Album is not as good as I expected it to be. It is better. I am put in a bit of tough spot when asked to say which is better, this or Oh! Calcutta! Honest to God it is the hardest question I have ever been asked. If you want reasons to buy this album, I will have to say that it is just a kick ass rock album. It's really as simple as that. I don't think you have to be a lawrence arms or alkaline trio fan to like this, but I am both and would not be able to make that statement. Anyway, buy it, and if Brendan, Dan, or Neil happen to read this for some unknown reason, Please for the love of all things holy tour! |
