Veterans - Veterans
Andrea Carreda, front man for Italy's best Ramones inspired punk rock band The Manges, has put together a classic summertime album of beach inspired tunes for all the pogo pop fanatics the world over. For the mission he enlisted the help of friends from all over the world from bands including Supermarket and The Popsters from Italy, Surfin' Lungs from Spain, and The Leftovers from the USA. Sure, this style of pop has been around for years, but it's not often it is done this well. The ten tracks on this debut album from The Veterans are as catchy as they come!

The Manges have continued to be my favorite band ever since I heard their debut album "The Manges 'R' Good Enough". Buy this album only if your a hardcore Manges fan like me. If your not, I recommend buying a Manges album first before buying this.

Wow! this is the perfect soundtrack for some summer fun! a solid blend of the beatnik termites, the beach boys and of course the manges. seven tracks penned by andrea manges and three covers thrown in to fill out this amazing release. my favorite tunes are, i think it's so cool and the tiki art show. alot differant from the last manges release, the manges go down. this is very poppy, catchy and infectious!

really fun piece of work here. seems to go by fast due to the fact of how fluid and nicely sequenced it is. the sound is very similar to the manges sound except for manuel's kick ass drumming is lacking. if you dig the manges as much as i you will enjoy this tasty summer treat.

it's pretty badass. the charlie surf board song (track 2) is by far the catchiest tune. and track 5 the most original almost kung fu monkeys sounding, but actually a lot like that millencolin song off for monkeys the "monkey boogie". It's pretty frigging great for a mid july release. I love the Manges too,but this is fresh and enjoyable. I don't know, I kinda would rather see this band live probably. So I am going to give it a 4 for that reason alone. And it's kinda poor quality booklet (not much art).

Andrea never lets any pop punk fan down and this time around with his new surf side project, he really out did himself. If this was a Manges album it would by far be my favorite. "Hula Girl", "Dance, Darling, Dance", "The Tiki Art Show", and "Sick Vibrations" sound like they came straight out of the beach/surf era (with a little Ramones flavor to it of course). This is most definitely the best soundtrack to any summer.
