This cd is really amazing even though I'm not a big fan of hardcore I loved this cd, tracks 1, and 3 are amazing so whether its your last 20$ buy this cd!

7/3/2006 by Andrew from Clearfield, PA Rating:
If you dig relentless break downs and screaming, then *thumbs up*. If not, then don't bother. But the breakdowns are very technical on guitar. And they make an almost 16 minute track seem not long or boring.

5/20/2006 by Jonathan from Auckland, New Zealand Rating:
One of the best Metalcore albums I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. If you are thinking of getting it - BUY IT. If you hate the band - BUY IT.

Amazing Band

Not that this album hasn't been reviewed enough before, but it really is very very good. It's long, but doesn't really seem that way because the album flows so well. I recently learned how to play some of the songs on guitar and I was kind of dissapointed how simple they were though. Kinda took some of the magic out of it. Still, it's better than most hardcore albums and no matter how many times I listen to it, the end of Memphis always brings chills down my spine.

2/6/2006 by Vince from Miami, FL Rating:
great disc. best vocals. josh is amazing. norma jean is the most inovative and genre pushing rock bands out now. the only cd that has a fifteen minute song that wont bore you to death..highly recommended

9/18/2005 by Lisa from Chico, CA Rating:
haha yeah, get this not the new cd, this is good, not the other cd, this cd may be a little repetative but its stilll good and stuff

6/16/2005 by Jerry from Corona, CA Rating:
have your friend burn you a copy.

all the songs sound relatively the same.

although 3 is a classic.

but, dont waiste youre money unless you got it to waiste.

+ theres an annoying ass song thats like 10 minutes.

3/2/2005 by Nick from Moody Afb, GA Rating:
Norma Jean is a kick ass band...this band sorta reminds me of Dillinger Escape Plan. Def an off the wall all over the place band. there is absolutely no consistency or beats in this cd...it's like a giant mathematical equation. anyone who is into extreme hardcore should get this i promise you won't be dissapointed.

2/20/2005 by Dave from Guelph, ON Canada Rating:
The good songs aren't good, they're mindblowing. Aka -> Tracks 3, 4, 6, 8, and 11. The ok songs are only ok, as in 5 and 7 (most notably). If you like killer breakdowns pick this up. It sounds kind of like a less complex Botch with more breakdowns, and more variety in the vocals. In the end, this has to metalcore - but these guys stack up way better than the rest. Plus they have a new album coming out!!! Oh, and Memphis Shall Be Laid To Waste has the greatest 2 minute moshfest in history ... ohhhhh my.

2/2/2005 by Jean-francois from Sainte-foy, PQ Canada Rating:
So violent. I have never heard an hardcore album more agressive than this one. More you listen to, much better it is. Songs 2-3-4 are fabulous! The only one I have a problem with is number 5 (more than 15 minutes long), it is a little repetitive.

Great hardcore, good music, good screams (no singing), good cd.

Give it a try
