The newest addition to the Eyeball Records family, My Chemical Romance stands up to their self-imposed challenge, bringing a unique, honest, and brutal sound to the scene. By the release of their self recorded Attic Demo, "Dreams About Stabbing and or Being Stabbed' MCR had created a buzz and delivered a live show so intense it far surpassed the hype building around them. Described when playing live like 'A swarm of vampire bats', their shows have the makings of an exorcism, cascading into a head-on collision of explosive drums, lacerating guitar riffs, machine gun bass lines, and dark melodic vocals. Killing off all the demons and non-believers with their tales of revenge, switchblade saints, magic bullets, anti-depressants, and the loneliness of the modern office space, the band finishes the set in an inspiring wreckage of human tragedy - if they don't happen to kill each other first.

| Wow what a great cd. The lyrics are fucking awesome. Vocals are great. Its not as catchy as Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge but it is still really good. If you dont have this cd you are missing out. |

| Vampires will Never hurt you is easily the best song on this cd, that said this cd kicks ass. There isn't a bad song on this disk and each song is very catchy. I saw them in concert and was dissapointed, but I don't hold it against this disk. They appear to be one of these bands going more and more mainstream lately and don't think they will ever match this album in the future. I have had this disk since it came out and it still is something I still listen to often. Crazy drums and vocals are what stand out the most. |

| you kids, well...most of you are retarded. what is it that you dunces dont like about this cd? is it that fact that its lyrically better? is that whats no good? dont get me wrong "three cheers for sweet revenge" is good, really good, but you're not giving enough credit to this cd. yea, its not as catchy, but its still lyrically superb. even better than the latest release. you kids need to turn off MTV2 and actually start listening to the music. |

| This CD has a few good songs (tracks 2, 3, and 8) and one really great song: Demolition Lovers. I think this is better than Three Cheers, especially in terms of lyrics. How did he go from Demolition Lovers to "I'm not okay, trust me, I'm not okay?"
Unless you just won the lottery, buy something else. |

| My name's Josh. Ok, good things. Alright people, let's face it: this cd is not as good as My Chemical Romance's sophomore release, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. It seems to me that most people like this one much more, and I don't think it's because you think it's better. Most of you got into this type of music by listening to something mainstream. It's a fact. But since listening to mainstream isn't "cool" anymore, lots of people try to keep an image. Don't deny it. It's true. I listen to a fair share of mainstream along with some underground stuff I doubt most people have heard of. But think this, mainstream bands are mainstream why? Because they are doing what they do very well. It doesn't matter what type of music. Even My Chemical Romance was recently in the top 10 countdown on MTV. They're getting popular. This will probably make some "hardcore" MCR fans cry and piss their pants. Get over it. The new CD is getting popular because it is good. Listen to Thank You For The Venom and Hang 'Em High and tell me this release is better than the newer one. It's not. This release doesn't have the blazing guitar riffs and intros as Three Cheers. Gerard's vocals are also off. His voice sounds like it was just getting past the point of puberty. He hadn't found a good tune for his voice. Mainly, he just half screamed and half sung almost every song. It's not nearly as good as the new one and don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan, but all you so called punks need to face it: IT'S NOT THAT GREAT. Most debut releases from any band aren't great. They've gotten a whole lot better and I think they'll keep progressing forward with better and better music. Stop living in the past and pick up Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge if you haven't yet. |

| This is one of the best bands I've heard in a long time. Vocals filled with total despair and honesty over energetic riffs and interesting arrangements make this a great buy. I gave it a 4 only because the recording quality isn't quite up to par with "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" but it is still well worth the money. Definitely check it out. |

| No wonder they got such a good record label. anyone who hears this cd is feeling something comepleatly unique and new tugging at their heart. and anyone who hates this album can go to hell. this is one of the best albums i own and i have over 180 cd's. one of the best screamo bands out there. if you dont have this, buy it. No, buy 2 or 3. i am going to see them with senses fail and the used here pretty soon and i cant wait. basically, if you dont buy this there is no point in living. |

| What a great CD! The guitars in here are ripping, wow. You must buy this before the new one. This has a darker feel to it and it's just fucking great. This CD is a must-have. If you are into screamo/hardcore, you'll like this. I warn you, though, this CD is unique and so different from any other bands I have heard. There are no bands I can compare MCR to. I'm sure you can find yourself $11.75 to spend. These guys are just incredible. It will not let you down. |
