| Bleeding Through - Portrait Of The Goddess |
Ten tracks of blistering Southern California metal from the leaders of the next wave of hardcore brutality. It can't be argued that this record is metal. When we say metal, we mean metal, not metallic sounding hardcore, but metal. Influenced and fueled by the 80's metal bands they grew up on fused with the brutal onslaught of more recent Swedish influences (In Flames, At The Gates, etc.) Portrait of the Goddess is for all intensive purposes, a METAL record. So, dust off that leather, put on some eye make up, and break out your devil horns because Bleeding Through will be coming to town this summer. Features current members of Eighteen Visions, Welcome To Your Life, and Cast in Stone.

| This cd is by far their best. Thier last two have been somewhat of a disappointment to me but this album is completely different. It is definately heavier than "This is Love, This is Murderous" and way heavier than "The Truth." It's more metalcore than anything else. If you don't already have it, you should really look into buying it. |

| My introduction to Bleeding Through was the album This Is Love, This Is Murderous. Having listened to that album many, many times, I found myself in dire need of more Bleding Through. So, I bought Portrait Of The Goddess. I was most definitely not disappointed.
I had heard the first track ("Rise") before I bought the CD. "Rise" is one of the few songs that everyone and anyone in the Hardcore or Metal scenes instantly recognizes. It has one of the most intense and brutal breakdowns ever created. Honestly, the CD would be worth buying for only that song. But the fun doesn't stop there, oh no. The entire album is infused with an angry, incredibly fast, heavy energy that makes every song a aural treat. It does get a tiny bit slow and repetetive at times, but that is quickly forgotten with the next wave of ear-destroying blast beats, gutar riffs, insane bass, or Bradan Shieppati's fear inducing screams. My favorite tracks would have to be "Rise" for it's absolutely killer breakdows, "Savior, Saint, Salvation" for it's mournful piano intro, skilled guitar work, and breakdown call of "take it all back", and "Turns Cold To The Touch" for the paranoia in invokes.
I would reccomend this album most highly to almost anyone who even remotely likes Metal or Hardcore. |

| This is a nice, solid listen. I don't really listen to a lot of metalcore, but this CD is great.
It's definitely worth the $. |

| This album is awesome. I would recommend this over "This is Love, This is Murderous" easily. "Our Enemies" and "Insomniac" are the stand out tracks. Check it out. |

| I dunno. Perhaps I need to listen to it more, but every time I have listened I ask myself, "where's the music?". The vocals are great and the drums are crazy. That seems to be about all you can hear unless you really crank the volume up, and it's still difficult to hear any guitar (though they're probably tuned down so low that it's difficult to hear any melody anyway). The keyboards are kinda cool, but I'm a little upset with the production of this album. I would probably give this three and a half stars, but I can't, and I don't think it deserves four. Get Rifles At Recess "to whisper in tongues" if you're into the metal/hardcore scene. It's much more melodic yet it will still fuck you in the ass...bitch. |

| This is the cd that initially got me into Bleeding through nearly 2 years ago. This album is so fucking sick and I prefer it over their new album though "This is Love, This is Murderous" is also amazing. This album is heavy fucking metal the way it's supposed to be. If you don't have this album already, BUY IT! You won't regret it. |

| BLEEDING THROUGH IS COMING STRAIGHT OUT OUT ORANGE COUNTY TO FUCKING MURDER YOUR EARS.
Oh my god, what a fucking sick album. Heavy guitars, fast blast beats and double bass, just all around, a great record. I prefer this one over "This Is Love, This is Murderous." |
