More of a folk punk feeling than the punk rock sound of their newer albums, Reinventing Axl Rose is an album that will make you want to scream along with every song.

6/25/2012 by Shawn from Newmarket, ON Canada Rating:
a punk-rock cult classic. enough said tom gabel (laura) can write damn good music. a vinyl collection MUST-HAVE

11/19/2008 by Brian from Shippensburg, PA Rating:
What else is left to say about this album that everyone hasn't already said? It's fucking great. I love Tom's terrible voice, I love the sloppy song structures, the singalongs, the lyrical content, the punk/folk/country mashup; it's all fucking great. This is definitely one that should go down in the books as a punk essential. It's just too bad they sort of lost their way and abandoned this sound because this is what worked, not the current radio-rock thing they're doing. This, the early EPs, and "As The Eternal Cowboy" are all worth owning. SFAFC has it's moments, but it's nothing compared to this. New Wave was a pooper, I couldn't even get past the first 2 or 3 tracks.

4/25/2008 by Michael from San Antonio, TX Rating:
Phenomenal! A breath of fresh air to my collection. Almost a near perfect record from "Pints.." to "8 Full Hours of Sleep". Great energy, anthems and overall output. Awesome album to sing along to. If just getting into them, start here! Best song:"Those Anarcho Punks Are Mysterious". Record came in Red Clear vinyl.

I have loved this CD ever since it's release. I thought that it was a must to own this LP before it goes outta print. If anyone hasn't heard Reinventing Axl Rose or Against Me! for that matter, you should definitely pick it up. Their music is unforgetable!!!

7/22/2007 by Devan from New Lenox, IL Rating:
Any criticism of AM!'s recent signing to Sire can easily be wiped clean by picking up a copy of this monsterously important LP. These guys literally did re-invigorate the aesthetic of the anarcho-punk scene with their powerful messages about life, love, and anti-capitalism. Anthems of radicalism belted out by the crusty cries of Tom Gabel, backed by the melodic folk-rock influenced guitar chords and the energetic, precise drumming of Warren.

GREATGREATGREATGETIT.

7/20/2007 by Dan from Mosinee, WI Rating:
i really love this band, punk folk in my eyes... the b-side kicks more ass than the a-side, but i love the entire album, i just love it, the vinyle is like a dirty greeen and shit, and it told me that i should take a bath, witch i have not in some time, the album inspires me to write and play along to it, i know how to play almost the entire album now, and ive only had it for a few weeks, "babby im an anarchist" is the reason i bought it, and i love there old shit way more than there new shit, Buy this first man....and if your a wax nut like myself, but it on vinyle man.

6/18/2007 by Allison from Peachtree City, GA Rating:
Great album, mine came on marble colored vinyl, and has "hidden" messages written in the vinyl. "If you can read this take a bath". Every song on this LP could stand alone as a great single, and put together it is a classic album. You can't go wrong with it, buy it now.

5/20/2007 by Jay from Murrieta, CA Rating:
The most amazing of Against Me! albums. Not my particular favorite, *which is As The Eternal Cowboy*, but definetely amazing music. Great songs include Baby, I'm an Anarchist, Walking is Still Honest, Politics of Starving, We Laugh at Danger..., I Still Love You Julie, Reinventing Axl Rose, Those Anarcho Punx are Mysterious, and of course Pints of Guiness Make You Strong. I recommend this album to all.

3/31/2007 by Greg from Champaign, IL Rating:
Classic album by Against Me! and probably their most popular. I already had a copy of this on cd but I always wanted an LP version and after years I finally ordered one. Great social/political folk punk. The lyrics are amazing, the songs are amazing and this album always makes me inspired to make some music after listening to it. Great album all the way thru!
