| Angel Hair - Pregnant With The Senior Class |
Before the word "screamo" was a dirty word within the
underground scene, ANGEL HAIR, alongside contemporaries
Heroin, Rorschach, and Moss Icon, started a small, but incredible
sub-genre of aggressive music. Forming in 1992 and lasting until
1995, this influential group released a handful of 7”s and a 12”,
leaving a mark on the underground scene for years to come.
After nearly two years out-of-print, ANGEL HAIR's discography,
Pregnant with the Senior Class is finally available again on CD.

| This isn't really bad, but it's not really great, either. The sound has been done before a million times, and the lyrics are stream of consciousness... and... well, their consciousness is pretty damn awkward (although I do have to give them some degree of credit for actually including the lyrics). Where this album really shines is the cover of "Stigmata Martyr" (originally by Bauhaus, for the uninformed), which manages to be both chaotic and composed at the same time.
These guys played damn tight, but overall, it just wasn't anything special. |

| Well, this album is decent. Not good, not bad, ok. If you're a big fan of Heroin, you might like this. Otherwise, you probably won't.
Angel Hair is like a wannabe Heroin, just not nearly as good. So, yeah. The cd gets very repetetive and boring, as well as fairly unintelligent sounding. The songs drone on and on, seemingly forever. And the vocals, well, they just suck. Bottom line: I'm not too happy I wasted eleven bucks on this. But who knows, you might be. |

| Just buy it. It's like Mohinder and Antioch Arrow. Not like Yellowcard and Taking Back Sunday. Buy a Le Shok record instead of this. |

| HOLY COW!!! If you want music that will knock you off your feet, grab a copy of this discography set from Angel Hair. This music is very intense, with the lead singer releasing constant gut-wrenching screams, sounding as if his voice box is going to explode!!! Not only are the vox intense, they are backed up with chaotic hardcore craziness that will make your mind boggle!!! This is hardcore emo at its finest. Definately great music to listen to if your in the mood to incapacitate something. :-) |
