Classic indie/emo(Whatever the fuck it will be called.)It gives me more reason to hate the monotonous "emo" bands these days.I don't like the whole gothic 80s comeback theme to the Aidenesque bands out there these days.It used to be more simple, like this...without the flashy shit. With this band, you'll get emotional driven harmonies and good lyrics. What more can I say?

Eudora is alright... but as most people agree "Something to write home about" is way better. Eudora is still a good cd though. So any GUK fan should buy this cd if you already havent. My favorite tracks would probably be Up On the Roof, Central Standard Time, and Impossible Outcomes.

12/7/2002 by Jeremy from Simi Valley, CA Rating:
This cd is just all right. It is just a bunch of unrealesed songs so its kind of a reject song cd. Like a few covers and songs that didn't make it on the full lengths. I love The Get Up Kids so I guess it's cool to hear some of this rare songs but this album isnt a weekly cd I listen too.

10/14/2002 by Ryan from West Stockbridge, MA Rating:
This album was a preety good album, it isnt as good as "Something To Write Home About" or even "On a Wire" but it did have some very good songs on it and also it did have the traditional Get Up Kids sound to it! so if you are a die-hard fan of The Get Up Kids you should buy this CD. If you want to hear the best of The Get Up Kids get "Something To Write Home About"

Although I lost my copy of this CD about a month after buying it, I played the heck out of it during the short time that I did have it, so I think I'm still qualified to review it. My only thoughts are that with every release, the get up kids are going further and further downhill. Woodson and Four Minute Mile were monumental releases to me, with a real honesty to them, and the Red Letter Day EP a good followup, Something To Write Home About was fairly decent, but this was a huge letdown. Up On The Roof and Alec Eiffel, my favorite songs, I already had on the split with Rocket From The Crypt and the Pixies tribute, and almost every other song seemed to be just a re-hashed alternate version that wasn't quite as good as the first. Impossible Outcomes and Regret were fairly good, however (the exceptions, not the rule). Although I commend the band for their excellent packaging and marketing methods (their CD's have always been very aesthetically pleasing, I think, and this is no exception) this CD is a new low-point for the band, and their new album looks to disappoint even more.

this cd sucks...real bad. they just suck now. four minute mile is good. not this.

cadillac blindside sounds like them, but theyre better. try them out

2/18/2002 by Wayne from Victor, NY Rating:
Very good, Something to Write Home About, is better, good songs are, I'm A Loner Dottie... A Rebel, NewFound Mass, and Ten Minutes. Buy Something to Write Home About if you havent heard The Get Up Kids, but if you have it, this is a good choice

2/11/2002 by Luke from Townsville, Australia Rating:
not quite as good as the other one of theirs i own (something to write home about). Still the same awesome band, but the songs are all pre-released. And the versions on this CD are inferior to those on other albums. Best songs are "Close to me" and "Anne Arbour".

1/20/2002 by Donnie from Sterling, VA Rating:
Once again this amazing rock band has put out an album, an album which is to go down into history. It contains many of there most popular songs, and some that I'm sure you have never heard. I do have to say that it is not my fav. album released by The Get up kids. Check out 4 minute mile and something to write home about.

1/9/2002 by Daniel from Summervilled, SC Rating:
The latest from release from the get up kids...and I must say it wasn't what I expected. If you are a die hard get up kids fan then you should get this just 'cause it has some extra funny songs from 7"'s that were never put on CD. Although the alternate version of New found interest in Mass. is really good....but dont expect lots of new material. This album has alot of covers and stuff I really didn't care for. If you're a new get up kids fan....dont start w/ this...get "something to write home about" or their first full length "four minute mile".
